How Do I Become a Member of De Witt First United Methodist Church?

We receive members in the church in the following ways:

Profession of Faith and Baptism

Profession of Faith and Confirmation

By Transfer from Another United Methodist Church

By Transfer from Another Denomination

This is for persons who belong to another body of God's family. We United Methodists recognize the baptism of persons coming from other denominations.

By Statement

This is for persons who have been baptized and belonged to another church, but aren't sure the record of their baptism and membership still exists. Church records may have been destroyed, or the church has ceased to be active.

By Reinstatement

This is for persons who withdrew their membership from a church or were notified their membership was removed from a church roll.
