The organ was built in 1949 by The Kilgen Organ Company of St. Louis, Missouri.  The organ was disassembled, restored and reinstalled in the new sanctuary by Greg Koziel of Koziel Pipe Organ Services of Memphis, Tennessee.   New componets added during the restoration process enhanced the performance of the 11 rank pipe organ.

God has placed a song in each of our hearts, and the Music Ministry at FUMC encourages and nurtures musicians of all ages and experience levels to praise God with joyful sounds.  Whether you are interested in singing or playing an instrument yourself, have a youngster who wants to learn about music and worship, or even if you are just a part of the congregational choir each week, you have a place in the musical life of our church.

The Chancel Choir rehearses Wednesday evenings at 7:00 p.m.  They lead the 10:30 a.m. Traditional worship service on Sundays and present special services and programs through out the year.    The choirs welcome new members throughout the singing season.   No auditions are necessary.    Just be willing to commit to weekly rehearsals and Sunday worship services.  Its members share time in worship and in fellowship while preparing music for services.

FUMC
Music Ministry likes to involve youth and adult instrumentalists in morning worship and special services throughout the year. Those interested in playing solos, participating in ensembles or playing with a vocal choir should contact Marjorie Jenkins for information about opportunities to play.
